About Me

My photo
Wife to an amazing husband, Mommy to three adorable littles, all under the age of three! I survive my days as a SAHM with decorating, coffee, organizing, playing with the family, baking, crafting, having playdates, and working towards a closer relationship with God. I have a big heart for foster care/adoption! I am an imperfect perfectionist who strives daily to improve my role as wife, mother and child of God.

Mariah is thankful for:
-Thanskgiving
-God

Jayden is thankful for:
-Marching bands
-tables

Myles is thankful for:

-gum (which he's never actually had;))
-milk

Jayden needed to work since we had shower repairmen here.  He loves to work and build!

Myles is doing his typical thing-throwing balls and chasing after them!  Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
Oddly enough, the kids' first Jello eating experience.  They giggled the whole time!

Gratitude from a Child's Perspective-Day 11

Mariah is thankful for:
-fans

Jayden is thankful for:
-kissing

Myles is thankful for:
-jeans

This boy..

has ALWAYS loved throwing!  Long before he could walk, this little guy was throwing everything in sight! His current favorite thing to throw?  His underwear.  Yep!  He stalls out on putting them on after going potty and instead chooses to throw them.  Sometimes they land in the bathroom sink, sometimes on the counter. Today, when my back was turned he came into the kitchen and THIS happened:
**underwear under the birdhouse-good one, Mr. Myles!

A few oldies just for fun!  Sometimes I miss those "simple"days of barely mobile and verbal babes!

Saturday Morning

Trying on some stocking caps! They wore them to watch The Magic School Bus after eating donuts for breakfast!  Fall Saturdays are the best!!

Mariah's first family homework project-a feather for her class' thankful turkey. She used felt, flowers, sparkles, feathers, etc. and did all the work herself!  It is so her personality! Love it!
Some little guy likes to dress up and practice cutting a million pieces with his scissors.

Love 'em

We had a wonderful Christmas, New Year, 29th Birthday and Valentine's Day! It's been a busy past few months, but I'm enjoying these three little guys! Their personalities are so fun and unique!

Ri will be 31/2 this week. I have no clue how that happened. I still think of her as my little teeny baby, but now she's a tall and skinny little girl, with spunk! I love how she loves people and is so friendly! She is our cuddliest little one and loves to snuggle! She is on a huge princess kick, which makes for fun mother-daughter times!

Jay is starting to make sentences, runs everywhere and is just becoming a little boy. He's losing some of his baby-ness. He is one of the most compassionate little babes. He always pats and kisses on his brother and sister when they are crying, asks if they are okay, and rubs their hair. Melts me every time! He's an ornery little boy with zest!

Mylesie is becoming a little boy, too. This week he became a full-time walker. He's 19 months, but definitely wanted to walk on his own time frame. He loves to give kisses and dance while walking in circles. Poor little baby gets his tonsils and adenoids out next week. Hopefully it will help with his breathing and eating issues. He is definitely our "baby of the family". He loves to be carried around, but is starting to find his independent streak.

Love these three and so thankful, even on the chaotic or monotonous days that I get to be their mother. HUGE blessing!!

Playing Dress Up

Jay and Ri trick-or-treating with Daddy
Blurry "Charlie Brown"
Kids and Friends Pre-Trick-or Treat Poses

The Thursday before Halloween, the kids got to dress up at school and trick-or-treat through the church office and have a little carnival, along with classroom parties! They enjoyed some of their loot after school! Mylesie particularly liked the Oreos!

I paid a total of $12 for the kids' costumes this year...not too bad! Ri's apron was a gift from YaYa and Poppy for her birthday. I just added a little fabric and iron on letters. I bought shorts and a shirt for Mylesie's costume. Just painted on the stripe. Jayden's was just a big boy shirt cut, painted and I already had the blue material for the tie. Love cheap!!

Love my little Fred Flintstone...his hair is perfect!

faces

This little guy preferred yogurt to a donut...he has no idea what he's missing!
Yep, I totally let Ri sleep in her "tinker bell" outfit. She loved it! She really loves feeling big and being Momma's helper.
These three are WAY.
TOO.
CUTE.
Ri's fave new face. Makes me laugh every time...even when I'm having a serious talk with her she'll turn that face on and I can't help but bust out every time. I need to work on that one;)
Playdough with Jay.
Jay, where is God?
Where's your hair?
Where are your eyes?
Where are your ears?
Where's your nose? (my fave...love how he pinches his own nose as hard as he can. ha!)
Where's your mouth?
Sweet brothers. I can't get enough of the matching clothes. LOVE.
This sweet 15 month old is still not pulling up or walking. A lot of it is his laid back personality, coupled with his anxiety over standing and his flimsy feet. I finally purchased a jumper to help Mylesie like being on his feet a little more. Just got a script today for some orthotics for his feet. He'll have little foot/ankle braces on to help him out and give more structure to his feet in the next few weeks. I have to admit, I'll be sad when he is completely mobile. A new phase of life.
